When we started Secfix, remote work was not a perk, we designed the culture this way.

We wanted to build a company that could attract exceptional people across Europe, give them the time and space to do their best work, and stay close to customers without adding layers of process that slow everything down.

That choice has shaped much more than where we work from. It has shaped how we write, how we make decisions, how we build products, and how we spend time together.

Remote work is often discussed as a question of flexibility. For us, it has always been more about focus. We believe great work comes from thoughtful people who have enough context to make good decisions and enough uninterrupted time to follow through on them.

That matters even more in our world. Security and compliance software looks simple when it works well. Underneath, it is not simple at all. There are integrations, workflows, evidence collection, onboarding, policy management, monitoring, and all the complexity that comes from helping companies stay secure without slowing them down. Finally, all of it will be connected with agentic workflows.

We wanted to build a company that could handle that complexity with care.

Remote work, done well, helps us do exactly that.

How we work

A few operating principles shape how product, design, engineering, and customer-facing teams work together at Secfix:

These ops principles are derived from our company values here.

We optimize for focus

We believe people do their best work when they have time to think.

In engineering and product, that means we optimize for focus and clarity over activity and appearances. We keep meetings light, but we do not try to do everything asynchronously. Most work happens in writing, through short specs, comments, Looms, and updates that make progress visible without adding noise. At the same time, we value being in sync when it helps. We use Gather.town as a shared working space, not just for meetings, but for complex questions, pairing, reviews, and the small interactions that make remote work feel more natural. That balance matters to us. We want enough uninterrupted time to think deeply, but also enough shared time to stay connected and move quickly together.
